Magazine Feature
The Merry Go Round is a regular feature of Digital Artist Magazine where a handful of our layout artists tackle one story in multiple styles. The artists create a page using the photographs and an accompanying story submitted by one of our readers, with their only instructions being “the sky is the limit”. The end result being the same story told several different ways, showcasing each artist’s unique perspective and style.
Scrapbook Pages
Readers whose photographs are chosen for the magazine receive a 12×12 flattened version of each page for their own albums. It’s a fun opportunity to see your story as seen through the eyes of a few of the extremely talented artists on our staff.
Choosing Submissions
Submissions will be chosen for feature as they correspond with upcoming magazine themes as well as the current season and product focus, so keep in mind that your submission may not be called upon until a suitable season, theme or focus arises. Also not all submissions will be chosen to be featured depending on the quality of the photos and the volume of similar submissions. Which means the more unique your story and photographs are, the higher the likelihood of being featured.
Photo Requirements
Please note that photographs should ideally be minimally processed or straight out of camera (SOOC) and that by submitting your photos for the Merry Go Round feature you’re giving your permission for our layout artists to post-process, crop, extract or alter your photographs in a manner that will fit their page style. If your photos are chosen for publication we will be requesting high-resolution .jpg images to distribute to our layout artists.
Please submit web-sized copies of your photographs or bundle them into a single .zip file.
